Loft conversion Tower Drive, Gourock

We were entrusted with the exciting challenge of converting a loft space into a functional third level in a two-story house, significantly enhancing the property's living area.

Expanding the living space

The loft was opened up to create two spacious full-sized rooms, along with a smaller room designed to accommodate future plumbing needs with water feeds and a soil pipe. This smaller room is primed for conversion into a bathroom, offering the homeowners a versatile space for future development.

Architectural enhancements

To maximize the new space, we constructed a full-length dormer window at the rear of the property. This not only provided additional headroom but also flooded the new rooms with natural light, making the space feel larger and more inviting. At the front, a smaller dormer window was built to seamlessly integrate with a newly installed 90° quarter-turn staircase, facilitating easy access to the loft and enhancing the overall flow of the house.

Finishing touches

To ensure the new rooms were both safe and stylish, we fitted oak fire doors for each of the three rooms, adding a warm and refined touch. The top of the new staircase was adorned with a full-height, floor-to-ceiling oak balustrade, providing a striking feature that blends safety with aesthetic appeal.

This loft conversion not only added significant living space to the home but also enhanced its architectural character, making it a standout feature of the property.

Client testimonial

"Precision Joinery completed our attic conversion in September 2023 after fitting a bathroom for my parents and we couldn't be happier with the results. Faced with a tight deadline due to my wife expecting our first child, David and Jason managed the entire project with exceptional efficiency and professionalism."
